Born in San Diego, CA and raised in both San Diego and Tijuana, all throughout her life, Nicole has not only received a truly binational education, but she has also experienced a cross-border way of living and understanding of the legal and cultural dynamics that shape life by the border.
Nicole’s firsthand experience and unique upbringing by the busiest border in the world has inspired her legal focus on cross-border businesses and international transactions, all narrowed down to her interests in the legal, compliance, and logistical aspect of North American trade. Coming from a background of professionals in the healthcare industry, Nicole is also passionate about the legal and business aspects of the medical industry in both the U.S. and Mexico.
Nicole earned her law degree Magna Cum Laude from Centro de Ensenanza Tecnica y Superior Campus Tijuana (CETYS University) where she served as Secretary of the Law School Council and achieved 1st Place in the Oral Argumentation Course in collaboration with the University of San Diego School of Law.
After earning her law degree, Nicole pursued a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Southern California Gould School of Law, where she broadened her legal education and leadership experience, also serving as LL.M. Representative for her class.
After graduation, Nicole joined the Firm as a summer legal intern and is now back at the team where she has played a part in supporting civil litigation in the United States and corporate matters in Mexico.
Outside of her legal career, Nicole enjoys spending time engaging in nature, especially by the beach or on a hike, she is also working towards becoming a runner. She enjoys traveling and learning about different cultures, as well as engaging in conversations about politics, feminism, and medicine.
